Trip to Arches National Park - Part II

By the time we got to these window arches...it was BLAZING hot.  It was about 1/4 of mile up the trail to stand under the arch so Ernesto and I took turns running up the path and seeing the view while the other one stayed in the air-conditioned car with the kids.  I would say that the 1/4 mile run up a staircase in 100+ degree weather was worth it!

These photos were taken through the sunroof of the car.  Yes, I was THAT person standing up on the seat with my body hanging out the sunroof in order to snap a few sightseeing pics.  It was a beautiful drive!

We finally got to the turn off for Delicate Arch, which is probably the most famous arch, I mean it's even on one version of the Utah license plate.  However, the hike was much too long for small legs, so we just stood at the lookout point and zoomed in on the arch.

As we left the National Park for the day, the sun was just beginning to go down.  I'm not a very good photographer, so my pictures don't really do it justice.  However, it really was breathtaking!

I LOVE that you were standing up through your sunroof to take pictures. That's just awesome!
