So...a little behind the times. Life has been busy and the task of blogging is always pushed to the bottom of the constant "to-do" list. Anyhoo, thought I'd post pictures for family to see some of our activities from the first part of the year.
In January, Limhi turned 8 years old. I cannot believe how big he is getting! He decided he wanted to have a birthday party with some school friends this year. They played a few games, including musical chairs and pin-the-tail on the donkey. Mostly, they just enjoyed being around each other and playing with all the gifts they brought for him!
This was my attempt at using an online tutorial for a Lego cake. FYI...frosting marshmallows and attaching them to a cake is time consuming and next time, I'll just order the cake instead of trying to be the "Ace of Cakes."

Limhi's actualy birthday fell on a Sunday. Some of Ernesto's family dropped by for cake and ice cream. And in usual Mexican tradition (at least with this family), the little bite of the cake turned into the whole face being smashed into the cake.
