Cascada del Jardin

On our way back from Veracruz, we took the back road. It was really fun and incredibly beautiful. The owner of this property has an amazing garden. I say garden, but really it's the rainforest. Full of flowers that we all buy at Lowe's...and his just happen naturally! He also had countless orange trees. He let us take as many oranges as we wanted and we ate a lot of them. Also, he had a natural waterslide. Ernesto and Abel were brave enough to slide down several times. I chickened out after the first time. You slide down about 5 feet and then go over a drop about 7 feet and land at the bottom of the waterfall into a big water hole. I never realized how hard it is to get back to the top when the waterfall is pushing you down. But, it was cool nonetheless. Especially since the slide is just black rock that the water has made smooth. The owner cut plants for Maria to plant at home. And if I could have smuggled them through customs, I would have brought my own. This place is not on the map so it is an experience that most tourists won't get.
