On Saturday, we went to Real Salt Lake vs. Chivas USA in the new Rio Tinto Stadium. We had a blast! We had third row seats right next to the field. Since it was a "playoff" game they gave everyone a red towel to wave, which Lehonti and Limhi loved! Thurl Bailey sang the national anthem, which cracked us up. Not because he was bad, but because a couple of years ago we saw a show where Big-T played Goliath...and it was a musical. After that, it's a little hard to take him seriously. Lehonti was yelling so loud and standing up to cheer that I'm surprised he could talk afterwards. Limhi was more interested in gathering up little pieces of confetti from the stands. All in all, it was a great family night out. And for those who haven't been to a live soccer game...I suggest going sometime. Not that MLS has fantastic players or anything, but the crowd is awesome!
