Labor Day Weekend

Well, we have been a busy little family.

Thursday night we enjoyed a fun evening at the school carnival. Lehonti and Limhi had fun in the "moon walk" and going through an obstacle course with a slide at the end. The boys also had fun playing different games and winning great prizes, like temporary tatoos and whistles.

On Friday, the boys had a great adventure with Grandpa Walsh...going to the Aquarium. We've been hearing about the starfish and jellyfish. The bouncy balls with rubber frogs inside have also been a hit! After the aquarium, Grandpa Walsh took the boys shopping for a few new school clothes. The boys have been planning their wardrobe for today since then!

Saturday afternoon was "Physical Therapy" day. The Fitness Center pool was closed, so the boys went on a really long bike ride at Liberty Park. It was pretty hot, but Lehonti and Limhi were enjoying themselves immensely. We ate snowcones and popcorn, played on the swings and slides, fed the ducks, and watched as Lehonti and Limhi zoomed away on their bikes. Towards the end, we didn't even try to keep up with them. At one point, Lehonti was really far ahead and he suddenly stopped. We thought maybe he had realized his mama and papa weren't around. But as we got closer, we realized that he had only stopped because the bag of cookies sitting on the back of his bike had fallen off. The boy stops for cookies, not for adults.

Sunday was a pretty normal Sunday for our household. In primary, Lehonti gave the scripture and Limhi gave a talk about repentance. They both did very well.

Monday proved to be a busy day. Ernesto was studying for his Human Resource Management class. And, I spent some time cleaning. That evening we went to a BBQ at Grandpa Walsh's house. As always, Lehonti and Limhi really love being around their Uncle Nick. Lucky for us, Nick is still the young, fun one who never seems to tire of the wrestling/kung fu matches...as well as the endless piggy back rides. The poor guy has to literally run through the house and up and down stairs. I guess his nephews are planning to keep him in shape! Finally, Lehonti and Limhi made their reading debut in front of the whole family. They each read "Nan Can Nap" without a single mistake.
